ot the review of the movie but a kind of introspection into the characters and happenings portrayed in the movie.Donnie Darko as a movie explores the unexplained yet the explained side of human nature and life in total. Characters are humane with a dark side attached to them. It explains the natural phenomenon of life in a supernatural way. The song from the film " Mad World" explains it all.
Characters depicts all shades of human emotion. The story depicts all shades of social emotion.
Confusing as it sounds can be clarified once one explains the movie as per one's own understanding.
One can consider Donnie Darko as a protagonist who manipulates his fate by sacrificing his life for his loved ones or it can be explained that "time and life" will follow its
own path whatever it may take or whatever you try to avoid it.The movie keeps many things unexplained(purposefully) to have your own interpretation of what happens.
Donnie calls his mother a "b@#t*h" yet again he saves her life giving his own.
Is Donnie a hero who save lives giving his own or he is just a weak human who commit
s suicide to avoid the pain of living a life without his loved one's.The movie also explains (unexplains) time travel. Pre destination paradox has been depicted to accuracy without any technical explanation.
